One thing Noah Lyles is known for other than his speed is his outspoken personality and confidence. And it seems he has passed on some of that energy to his fiancee, Junelle Bromfield, as well. The Jamaican sprinter made a big move, shifting to the U.S. months before their engagement in October 2024. After she said yes, Noah bought a new home for Junelle. And the couple has been sharing their love story and everyday moments with the public.

While they’ve been in the spotlight, it’s clear that Junelle is focused on more than just their relationship. Training alongside Lyles under coach Lance Brauman, she’s been making noticeable improvements. And it looks like she’s ready to take on the competition in the upcoming season!

Recently, Junelle Bromfield shared a story on Instagram, re-posting a video from Markie Markland. In the video, Markie is seen using binoculars to scan the surrounding mountains. That’s when a girl asks, “Markie, what are you looking for?”. Markie responds, “A business at my level… you see, ha”. The girl replies, “I don’t think so.” The caption read, “Searching for my competitor.” Junelle seemed to use this as a playful yet indirect warning to her rivals. She’s signaling that she is ready to compete and that she doesn’t see anyone as powerful as her.

Bromfield also tagged it with “my next TikTok sound,” complete with some emojis, making it clear that while the post was lighthearted, the message was serious. However, reflecting on her performance at the Paris Olympics, it was a bit heartbreaking—she’s still pushing for more, despite the setbacks.

Junelle Bromfield’s tough finish at the Paris Olympics

Junelle Bromfield entered the women’s 400m semifinal at the Paris Olympics with high hopes of making an impact, but unfortunately, she didn’t meet the expectations, finishing eighth in 51.93. In this semifinal, only the top two from each heat advanced directly to the final, along with the two fastest losers. Bromfield started strong in the first heat but gradually faded, finishing last. Bahrain’s Salwa Eid Naser won the race, with Ireland’s Rhasidat Adeleke securing second to grab the last direct spot in the final.
