Grant Holloway has now cemented himself as the greatest hurdler of contemporary times. After winning a gold medal in Paris, it looks like Holloway is carrying his fine form in 2025 too. Competing in the World Indoor Championships, Holloway spitfire in the 60m hurdles category. Running a blitzkrieg timing of 7.42s, the 27-year-old clinched the gold medal. Interestingly, the second-placed Wilhem Belocian of France looked quite slow compared to Holloway. He finished the race with a modest timing of 7.54s. Surprisingly, even after all this, Holloway is not all content.

Catching up with LetsRundotcom, Holloway stated that winning surely felt great. He also mentioned these performances gave him the much-needed fuel for the upcoming World Championships. However, in a shocking revelation, the hurdler stated that this race was not at all the best he could do! “With that being said, it wasn’t my best two rounds, but figured it out. Obviously, it’s the final that counts, so definitely excited about that,” Well, from his perspective it is natural to want only to do better. After all, looking at his resume, you know he is meant for nothing but greatness

Watching the Virginia native tackle the 110mh at Paris with unparalleled grace was a treat for the eyes. The result? a jaw-dropping 12.99s! However, the Paris win was just one of the 27-year-old’s seemingly unending list of achievements. According to the Guardian, Grant Holloway has become the very first hurdler to register three back-to-back victories at the World Indoor Championships. With the World Indoors win, he has now won 94 consecutive indoor races, taking into account both 55m and 60m hurdles. What makes him even more daunting to his opponents? He doesn’t seem to lose! The last time he lost at an indoor hurdles event, Holloway was 16 and the year was 2014! And now, he is branching out to see what else he is good at.

“Well, I don’t know, being an off year, it’s kind of, I’m gonna take the Christian Taylor approach. Maybe go run a couple 400s, maybe run a couple 100s, 60s, 200s. It’s one of those things, it’s an off year, so you can kind of have fun,” Holloway continued. It will surely be a treat to see him branch out. After all, he has already proved his mettle in other sports, with a personal best of 8.17 in the long jump event dating back to 2018!

Now then, while these were some happy memories in China, Grant Holloway also had a shocking moment. Getting groped by a fan recently, Holloway looked stunned as he shared the incident. However, coming to his support was his fellow US track and field sensation, Noah Lyles.
