Talitha Diggs started her journey on the tracks of Florida and has since then been making waves as a 400-meter specialist. In the Ready Set Go podcast, Talitha Diggs opened up about the pressure that comes with having such a legendary family. “Obviously there’s that pressure,” she shared. “My mom’s a four-time Olympian, my aunt’s a five-time Olympian, my other aunt’s a three-time Olympian, and my uncle has been the Olympic coach and is the head coach of Stanford right now.” With a legacy like this, it’s easy to see why the expectations on her shoulders are so high. Yet, Talitha is not letting this define her. “You don’t hear track and field without the Clark family, and so coming from that, I was like, you know, it’s going to be obviously like a lot to live up to,” she admitted. “But as I got into it, I was like, No, I’m riding my own path, I’m doing my own thing. So it’s not really like I’m living up to it; it’s like I’m appreciating and respecting what they have and what they’ve done, but I’m my own person.” Talitha’s words reveal a deep sense of respect for her family’s legacy. It shows her commitment and love for the sport.
