The Tyreek Hill and Noah Lyles fiasco has been going on for a long time now. Back in 2024, the duo had a verbal exchange about who could run the fastest. Owing to Lyles’ unpleasant comments about the NFL, tensions soon began to rise between the two. In order to determine who the fastest of the two is, Hill challenged Lyles to a 50-meter dash. Unfortunately, the race did not take place as of now, prompting Noah Lyles to take a significant dig at the Miami Dolphins’ wide receiver.

In his recent appearance at the New Balance Grand Prix, Noah Lyles had one of the best races of 2025. Displaying blistering pace, Lyles cruised to the finishing line, clocking a thumping 6.52s! However, this was not what got the fans’ attention. Adding more intrigue to the Tyreek Hill controversy, Lyles went on to display a note in front of the entire National TV broadcast. He flashed, “Tyreek could never” on NBC, making the fans go wild.

And that was not all. Lyles also went on to post the phrase “Let me show you the world’s fastest man” on his X account. This was a further dig at Hill, who has been constantly calling the Olympic gold medalist out for his slow timings. Now, with Lyles taking so many shots at the NFL wide receiver, Tyreek Hill too, is not the one to keep quiet. Hill immediately took to his X account and replied to Lyles’ post mocking him. His post read, “Who gave you that title? Your Wikipedia page?”

For the uninitiated, this was a reference to the fact that there are widespread controversies about the title of who the world’s fastest man. According to Hill, Usain Bolt still holds the record with a 9.58s 100m timing. Interestingly, fans seemed to have taken a dislike to Hill’s mockery of Noah Lyles. One of the main reasons is probably how Hill allegedly ‘quit’ his team recently.

The Miami Dolphins recently suffered a grueling 32-20 defeat to the New York Jets. According to the Dolphins’ head coach, Mike McDaniel, Hill allegedly pulled himself out and refused to enter the game. This was a significant upset for the NFL fans. Thus, they soon started to bash the wide receiver.

Fans lash out at Tyreek Hill for being sarcastic

Fans immediately took to the comments section to lash out at Hill. One infuriated fan even termed the Dolphins star as ‘delusional’. They voiced support for the Olympic gold medalist and added how they believe that Hill would always remain an underachiever when it comes to the achievements and wins of America’s favorite sprint sensation, Noah Lyles.

Can Tyreek Hill back up his talk, or is Noah Lyles the undisputed fastest man?

They shared their personal opinion, writing, “Man, you must be delusional af if you think you come anywhere close to beating the man who does this for a living.” While many fans have been waiting for Hill and Lyles to face each other on the track, another fan shared a different take. They voiced their opinion with a tone of sarcasm and wrote, “I’d rather have Noah running routes than a quitter.”

Echoing a similar emotion, another netizen stated that although they might be agreeing with the fact that Lyles might not be the fastest man, it is certainly not Hill who would claim that title. The commenter mentioned, “You right, he ain’t the fastest but you still ain’t beating him, bro”. Another Lyles fan shared their personal opinion and referred to Hill as a ‘washed away receiver’.

The comment read, “Dolphins need to trade u for a 5th round pick tbh.” Lastly, this fan looked quite unhappy with Hill’s performance for the Dolphins. Bashing him for his mistakes, the fan also put a significant question mark on Hill’s status as the fastest runner in his team. The comment read, “Tyreek is not even the fastest player on his own team. Sit down and stop dropping the ball in big games.”

Thus, it is evident how things are going against Tyreek Hill at the moment. With his own NFL fans turning on him, Hill is surely in a pressure cooker situation at the moment. It will now be interesting to see how things pan out for the Dolphins’ wide receiver at the moment.
