Samsung has been a partner of the Olympics for the last three decades. They started off as a local partner at the Seoul Olympics in 1988. From the very beginning of its partnership with the International Olympic Committee, Samsung has looked to create new experiences.
They want to ensure that the Olympic family, athletes, fans, and consumers are given a more personal and unique experience during the Olympic Games. At almost every Olympics, Samsung comes out with a special edition phone just for the tournament.

Samsung Galaxy S21 5G Olympic Games Edition
The Samsung Galaxy S21 5G Olympics edition has launched in Japan, continuing Samsungs partnership with the International Olympic Committee. The phone comes with a Mirror Gold finish and the Olympic rings on the back and also features some added features to the standard Galaxy S20+ 5G.
The phone is a new colorway for Samsung Galaxy S21 that has a Phantom Blue back panel with Gold accents.?
This is not the first time they have made a special edition phone in honor of the Olympics. When they held the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Games in the company’s home of South Korea, they designed an athlete-only version of the Galaxy Note8.
Samsung is a part of The Olympic Partner (TOP) Programme of the International Olympic Committee. It constitutes the very highest level of Olympic sponsorship.?
This phone comes three years after the IOC and Samsung decided to extend their partnership till 2028, which is two more Olympic games.

Athlete benefits at the Tokyo Olympics 2020
Samsung and the IOC gift all the athletes a pair of Samsung earbuds Pro and a brand new Galaxy S21 5G Olympic Games Edition, along with some other gifts.
Many of the athletes have shown the goodies they received at Tokyo to their fans via their Social Media handles.
