It’s been four years since Usain Bolt retired. He walked away from a career of domination on the tracks as one of the greatest ever to do it. The Jamaican hauled an impressive tally of eight Olympic gold medals owing to his success in the 100m, 200m, and 4x100m relay events across three different editions of the Games.
While most athletes let go of themselves after retiring, especially track ones, Bolt has kept himself in shape and strictly follows this path. The former Olympian ran an 800m race as part of promotion earlier this month, which left him gasping after he crossed the finish line.

Usain Bolt looks up to himself and what his peak shape was in his time as a track athlete. He has refused to let it all go and actually aims to get back to shape by August 21 this year, right in time for his birthday.
Although he is not overdoing the track workouts, he aims to become fit for his own good, rather than for being a track star. ?I?m at a point in my life where I just want to be in shape,? Bolt admits. “Do some core and strength work. Get on my bike from time to time. I do a mixture of everything, which is what we all need to be strong.?
Usain Bolt may just re-emerge as a fitness icon rather than the ?usainly? superior sprinter we’ve known for more than a decade. The path to his peak self is hard, but it’s nothing the Jamaican has not done before.?
