But one team has drawn their attention to the opening ceremony. Team Ireland made a unique entry to excite fans all over the world. By bowing out in the entry, team Ireland made a unique way of welcoming the Japanese people.

Team Ireland bow down to Japanese volunteers
The Tokyo Olympics 2020 welcomes nations all around the world. All the countries come out in the opening ceremony to celebrate their personal moment of representing a country.

Notably, Kellie Harrington and Brendan Irvine are the flag bearers for Ireland. Just before they came out, the two flag bearers stopped in front of the Japanese volunteers and bowed down in front of them.
People from Japan bow down to people to greet guests in their country. It is a rich tradition being followed by the people in Japan. The mark of respect given by Team Ireland is applaudable.
Top contingents from Ireland in Tokyo Olympics 2020
The flag bearers for team Ireland are some of their major contenders for this year’s Olympics. Kellie Harrington won the gold medal in the lightweight division during the 2018 Women’s World Boxing championships.
Similarly, Brendan Irvine won a silver medal in the men’s 49kg division at the 2015 European Games. He notably became the first medallist for Ireland in those games.
Even though they have a small roster, Paul O’Donovan and Fintan McCarthy are the major contenders for Ireland in this year’s Olympics. The rowing team from Ireland are some of the best rowers right now and looks to win medals for their country.

Likewise, the Irish middle-distance runner Ciara Mageean is another important contender for Ireland. By winning the bronze medal in the 2019 European Athletics Indoor Championships, the athlete is expected to perform well in Tokyo.
