Tokyo Olympics closing ceremony captures hearts of audiences the world over
The Tokyo Olympics 2020 closing ceremony kicked off as the flag of Japan was brought out in the stadium by six bearers. The Tokyo story movie’s theme song played in the background as the bearers brought the flag. It was followed by the national anthem of Japan.
Following that, all the flagbearers of National Olympic committees came out with their respective country flags. There was no particular order of entry followed. The Olympic representatives casually walked out in the middle with their medals, flags, and phones in their hands and as they took at the moment. Probably something they will never forget for the rest of their life.

But the highlight of the evening was the brilliantly done Olympic ring. Using AR graphics, the organizers formed an iconic and dazzling Olympic ring made up of small particles of light. Audiences, both at home and the few in the stadium, were left bamboozled by this display and immediately took to social media to express their amazement.

After the stunning light show, a Sunday afternoon park in Japan was recreated to the tune of orchestral music. It was an attempt to offer a representation of what Japanese people are up to in a park on a regular Sunday in Tokyo. The volunteers at Tokyo Olympics 2020 were bestowed with small tokens of gifts from the newly-elected IOC Athletes Commission members. Over 70,000 volunteers made the Summer Games possible despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
