“Tyreek could never.” It was the message Noah Lyles showed on National TV on NBC right after he secured his victory at the New Balance Grand Prix. The 100m Olympic champion ran in the 60m finals, clocking a blistering 6.52 seconds. Indeed, this was more than just a race for him, as he wanted to prove a point to his NFL rival, who has been ignoring his racing requests for quite a while now.

However, was this all from Noah to Tyreek Hill? Not really. “Don’t you know? It’s the crowd. The stronger the crowd, the faster I run. The stronger the competitors, the faster I run. It’s the energy. Hey, when you’re ready to actually put some words down and you’re actually ready to race, see me. I’m right here. I ain’t going nowhere. But all I know is your football season’s over. You got no excuse now,” said the 100m Olympic champion.

Noah Lyles isn’t trolling with his statement, but he’s serious now. He opened up his 2025 season with greatness, and he knows that for now, he has a lot more to prove than just in track and field. Lyles is aware of the statements that Hill has made before, but every time he does, the 27-year-old responds with nothing but boldness.

With these messages, Lyles always caught himself in controversy, especially from the NFL fans who took the side of their athlete. And if you know how brutal these audiences can be, you might get an idea of the type of messages the track and field star had received since August 2024, when their beef began officially, after Hill challenged him to a 50-yard dash.

The distance the NFL star proposed was not exactly what a 60m race looks like, but it’s still close to the distance. Lyles might have problems with his acceleration, which was also seen in the two races he participated in at the New Balance Grand Prix. However, despite his initial acceleration issues, he could overcome them with remarkable speed and ultimately clinch an impressive victory in the 2025 season.

Apart from all the racing, the New Balance Grand Prix’s highlight was surely the way Lyles challenged his NFL rival. Indeed, who knows, Hill might have already looked at the stint that the Olympic champion pulled in a brilliant showcase of his pace. But how did the track and field community react to this message from Lyles?

Trust me, they were just brutal.

Not sure the beef between Tyreek Hill will end soon, but the fans are having a blast after whatever Noah Lyles said on the national TV. Similarly, another fan wrote, “Nah Noah Lyles just clowned Tyreek Hill on live tv.” The message was straight, as another fan wrote, “Noah just clowned his a** on live tv, I’d hide if I was Tyreek.”

Now, let’s give you a recap of what started everything. “Sign the contract and lock in that 50-yard race,” the NFL star posted on his official X account, to which Lyles replied, stating, “The man dodges smoke. If he’s serious about it… you’ll see me on the track.” And this particular cat-and-mouse chase has been going on for a long time, and fans have been waiting for an official race between the two.

However, this particular stint from the track star made one fan comment, stating, “Tyreek Hill got 24 hrs to respond.” And another fan wrote, “Why is Noah Lyles replying to that nobody, Tyreek Hill?”

The track and field fans are giving Hill the exact treatment that the NFL fans gave to Lyles whenever the topic came between the two athletes from different sports. Rivalries are common in every sport, but when it’s something like this, it brings a broader horizon of fans being engaged in the feud.

We don’t know when these two will get on the track to settle their beef, but when they do, it will be no less than a legendary track battle.
