The Tokyo Olympics 2020 is turning out to be a global thriller. This year’s Summer Games is being held in Japan right now and athletes from across the globe are working tirelessly round the clock to churn out results and win major honours for their respective countries.
But from a viewership point of view, the Tokyo Olympics 2020 has been a major disappointment. The broadcast audience for the opening ceremony was the lowest since the 1988 Seoul Games, which attracted 22.7 million TV viewers. It was also lower than the 1992 Barcelona Games( 21.6 million) as per a Reuters report.

Speaking on Peacock TV alongside renowned American comedian, Kevin Hart, Snoop was at his hilarious best on Tuesday. The 49-year old American rapper was part of a hilarious skit. He put forth the suggestion of a new sport that could be featured at the Olympics in the future.

He pointed out how the dynamics of the Olympic Games are forever changing. Snoop mentioned how basketball became 3v3 basketball and volleyball became beach volleyball. In the same fashion, he suggested that boxing could also become hot-boxing?
For those who aren’t sure about what ‘hotboxing’ means, all we’ll say is that it is related to the use of recreational marijuana, which of course the American hip-hop icon is a huge fan of. We’re guessing the folks at the IOC might opt against this idea but thanks anyway Mr. Snoop!

On a side note, USWNT superstar Megan Rapinoe was the latest athlete to endorse the use of CBD as part of her recovery routine. In contrast, American sprinter Sha’Carri Richardson was banned from the Olympics after testing positive for marijuana in the build-up to Tokyo 2020.
