Horseriding brings with it a level of joy and freedom, that few sports can compare with. But what can never be underestimated are the chances of injuries, that too lethal ones, that equestrians risk while riding a horse. Just like a popular reality star, who suffered a nasty fall from her horse and landed in the hospital. Although not fully recovered yet, she is grateful to everyone who helped her, and also to all her fans and well-wishers who prayed for her speedy recovery.

Claire Saunders is a reality star, most popularly part of ‘The Farmer Wants A Wife’ reality show where farmers in Australia go out on dates with women in the hope to find true love. Saunders became popular from the show and has amassed a total of 25,000 Instagram followers. After her accident, she received an outpouring of love from her supporters.

The Equestrian is filled with gratitude and humility post recovery

Claire Saunders wrote in her Instagram story, “Thank you all for the messages (a prayer emoji) My legs are almost 100% better now, here are some pics my bestie took of me being high on the green whistle”, followed by two laughing emojis. Although having suffered a devastating injury, and in extreme pain still, Saunders didn’t lose her sense of humor while addressing her friends.

The 37-year-old suffered the most of her infliction on her leg, which was bandaged before she was airlifted to a nearby hospital. While the moment she suffered the injury isn’t captured on camera, Saunders was riding with her friends when she was injured. The next thing anyone knew was she was on her way to the hospital.

The reality star also shared more images on her Instagram stories where she was all wrapped and laid inside an orange-colored item, one that was used to carry her away from the scene of the accident to the hospital. She wrote in her story, “Straight outta Bellingham Beach” with the red-yellow rescue helicopter in the picture. Bellingham Beach is where was riding her horse before the accident.

Earlier, Saunders’s stint in the show ‘The Farmer Wants A Wife’ came to an end after she and Andrew exited the show. However, going by the show’s track record and as far as the rumor mills are concerned, Saunders and Andrew are still together. While horseriding accidents can be terrifying, recoveries can happen. Just like 16-year-old Alexis Halbert, who once miraculously recovered from a spinal injury, Saunders’s recovery from the accident might come with a fresh perspective on her life and everything around her.
