They say distance makes the heart grow fonder, and Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens know it better than anyone else. Ever since the duo began the fairytale chapter of their lives in April 2023, their careers have kept them apart. The Olympic champion had to prepare for the US Classics held in August 2023. Soon after, the Worlds came between September and October, leading to the Paris Olympics 2024. Now that Biles has perched herself at the top of the gymnastics summit, she finally has some spare time to spend with the love of her life, Jonathan Owens. And guess what? She is blending with Mother Nature for the most exotic honeymoon experience. 

The couple is making optimum use of their time together. Starting from NYC to Switzerland, and Miami, blink and they will be in some other part of the world. But now they have finally embarked on their much-awaited honeymoon. Keeping her fans guessing, the Ohio native finally revealed the location to be South Africa. And surely, the gymnastics GOAT was thrilled to find out that the majestic African wildlife is all set to welcome the 7x Olympic gold medalist. 

Elated to the core, Biles took to her Instagram story to share her excitement with the fans. Being in South Africa, the couple just had to go on a safari trip. And surely, the wildlife did not disappoint. Minutes into the  Biles’ eyes got hold of a giraffe strolling its way into the woods. Pleased with the experience, Biles captioned the video, “hopped off the plane not even here for 5 minutes yet & 😍😍😍😍.” 

Next up, Biles spotted some royal tuskers treading along its path in the jungle. While Biles posted a close-up of a couple of elephants, the beasts looked as majestic as ever. In the next story, we got to witness the funny side of this champion gymnast. Spotting a couple of zebras, she was tempted to refer to the movie ‘Madagascar‘. She captioned the post, “a couple of marty’s.” For the uninitiated, ‘Marty’ was the name of the zebra from the animated comedy film, Madagascar (2005). 

Lastly, the 27-year-old was seen chilling with her husband, over a couple of drinks, possibly at the end of a fulfilling safari trip. Nonetheless, Simone Biles seems to be thoroughly enjoying her much-deserved honeymoon, and why wouldn’t she? After all, the Olympic gold medalist is touring an exotic dream with her emergency contact!

Shy and coy? Simone Biles cannot relate. Over the years, the Ohio native has made time out of her hectic schedule to travel miles to spend a day or two with the NFL player. Thus, when it comes to their long-awaited honeymoon, it is natural for this power couple to go overboard with one another. Fans could catch a glimpse of the Chicago Bears star’s random shenanigans, thanks to a video the Olympic champion shared in one of her Instagram stories. 

As Owens danced and jumped around, his loving wife came up with the caption, “my emergency contact.” If there were any qualms about the unconditional love between the couple, Biles’ caption should clear them. Not just concerning each other, this power couple receives love from fans anywhere they go. In all honesty, it’s well-earned!

Coming back to her honeymoon experience, the gymnastics GOAT posted pictures of how they received token wishes from the hotel as the couple enjoyed a relaxing steam bath. The safari, the drinks, the steam bath, the banter, and the fun- all of it makes us smile from ear to ear. It is heartwarming to see the couple finally enjoying themselves after staying away from one another for so long. We wish them the best of times and while they are at it, let’s hope the pictures and videos keep rolling in unabated.
