Simone Biles Drops 4-Word Message for Jonathan Owens After Making Million Dollar Request

Sooner rather than later. Duties and distance were what forced Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens to delay their honeymoon. With the Olympics done and dusted, and the Bears well headed into the offseason, the couple, who got married in 2023, finally found the time to take the first cab off the rank for their traditional romantic getaway. Biles was the first one to announce it, “Off to our honeymoon … 2 years later.”

They are currently on a safari trip in a wildlife reserve in South Africa, vibing with stunning landscapes and soaking up the rich culture of Mzansi. She has been having the time of her life roaming the wilderness in jeeps with binoculars in hand and Owens by her side. From the get-go, Biles is taking her fans along. We say this because, upon their arrival in South Africa, it didn’t take long for the happy campers to share a gear update ahead of their first safari experience. “[R]eady for our first game drive,” she wrote. Biles’s sister, Adria, couldn’t help but comment on one of her sister’s social media posts, “y’all are killin’ this whole safari vibe.”

Up until this point, from watching lions, elephants, and leopards to rocking a poolside pose in a leopard-print Mikoh bikini only to later layering that up with a matching tank top from Kim Kardashian’s buzzy Skims x Dolce & Gabbana collaboration, the outfits have been a theme. In a new post, the 27-year-old shared a carousel with two images and two videos, and safe to say, Owens and Biles are off to a new destination.

In the first image, one could see the couple posing beside a helicopter while in the second one, Biles was seated inside it, ready to go on an adventure. The third update on the carousel was a video of the ocean from the helicopter. The blue water and the sky would have almost looked one and the same if they weren’t different shades.

The last video on the carousel showed the couple exchanging a quick kiss. But it was the caption that caught people’s attention. Biles wrote, “I’ll travel anywhere w/ you.” Owens responded with a hand-heart and a flight emoticon. But no, things don’t end here. This picture-perfect honeymoon came with a million-dollar request from Biles. What was it?

Sounds like a dream, right? Well, dreams come with price tags, and beachfront homes in South Africa don’t come cheap.

While the Olympic champion might have the star power to pull it off, Owens, with an estimated net worth of $2 million as of 2024, might need a few more NFL seasons to make that happen. But hey, even if the dream house is still TBD, their honeymoon is already priceless. And when they’re not casually considering million-dollar real estate, they’re enjoying the little moments that make it all worth it.

In fact, while on their trip, they also visited a daycare (that was started by a staff member who works at the hotel where the couple was staying). “Obert started this himself from the ground up,” wrote Biles on her Instagram story. “He just wanted to help the community and the children.” The daycare helps 87 children in the locality and gives them a safe space to learn and play.

Then, in another post, the couple stepped out for a romantic dinner, both dressed in matching black outfits, proving once again they’re in sync in every way. The doting wife captioned it simply: “Forever dinner date.” Whether they’re buying homes or just sharing a meal, one thing is clear—wherever they go, as long as they’re together, they’re already home.
