“We can kind of lean on each other… That’s what girls’ girls do.” Simone Biles said this before the Paris Olympics in 2024. And if you remember, Simone Biles felt alone at the top during the Tokyo Olympics. But going into Paris, she had her team, her supporters, who made sure she did not feel alone! The support came in all aspects, including the mental aspects of the sports. They went to Paris, and literally created history and won gold. Well, let’s be clear, this wasn’t just true for her Paris Olympics squad but in general for Team USA gymnastics members. And as the gymnast turned 28 today. Her Team USA members are back again to shower her with all the love and admiration!

Well, today Biles’ Instagram Story quickly turned into a digital scrapbook, filled with warm wishes from friends, family, and fellow Olympians. Among those who celebrated her big day was Zoe Miller, a fellow member of the U.S. women’s national gymnastics team since 2021. Miller shared a beautiful collage of moments of them together, like trying new makeup, eating pizza, their nap time, spontaneous trips, and gymnastics performances. The collage was accompanied by a heartfelt message: “Happy Birthday to my partner in crime, wouldn’t trade you for the world.” But was Miller the only one?

Not at all! Fellow gymnast Maggie Nichols also joined in the celebrations, sharing their admiration and appreciation for the gymnastics GOAT by wishing her “Happy birthday @simonebiles!! (sparkle emoji)(pink heart emoji)” and sharing a collage of their moments together. One of the pictures among the three was from Simone’s wedding with Jonathan Owens. It was probably taken from her reception, and both the gymnasts were laughing and having fun!

Posting a series of cherished moments with Biles, where both of them were actually seen having fun and in their true element. Chiles wrote on her Instagram story, “Happy birthday to one of the most amazing people in my life!! Twin I love you so much and miss you!! Hope today treats you well—love you (red heart emojis).” Chiles and Biles share a strong bond, both inside and outside the gym. Their friendship strengthened when Chiles moved to Houston in 2019 to train alongside Biles, a decision that helped elevate her gymnastics career to new heights.

Even her former coach, Cecile Landi, took a moment to acknowledge Biles’ legacy and the incredible journey she continues to embark on with a small reel. She took to her Instagram and penned down a heartfelt message for the gymnastics star. She wrote, “Happy 28th Birthday to the one and only 🐐Thank you for everything you have done for me and my family! I’m forever grateful ❤️ I wish you the very best day and year yet!!! Love you 😘”  Cecile, alongside her husband Laurent Landi, became Biles’ coach in 2017 when they joined the World Champions Centre in Texas. The coach-athlete duo helped Biles add to an already extensive list of accolades, bringing her total to 11 Olympic medals.

From teammates to coaches, everyone who has been part of her journey made sure she felt cherished on her special day. With yet another monumental year ahead, there’s no doubt that Biles’ story is far from over. And how could her biggest supporter, and husband Jonathan Owens, have stayed back to wish the superstar?
