Mike Tomlin has been one of the most prominent names in the NFL circuit. Trying to guide the Pittsburgh Steelers to the NFL title, Tomlin has been quite successful in his stint so far. With 10 wins and 7 losses, the Steelers are sitting pretty at the second position in the AFC North. However, as Tomlin’s quest for the NFL championship continues, his joy just doubled recently. After all, pursuing an entirely different path from her father, Tomlin’s daughter is doing wonders in the realm of NCAA gymnastics.
Harley Tomlin has been one of the names making her way to gymnastics ascension recently. Joining the Georgia GymDogs, Harley has been a four-star recruit from Pittsburgh. She trained at Xquisite Gymnastics while being a 2x member of the Region 7 All-Star team. This was also where Harley clinched the All-around title in 2022 and 2023. Adding to her shining list of accolades, Mike Tomlin’s daughter is also a 3x USA Gymnastics Developmental Program Nationals Qualifier!
Now, Harley has decided to take things up by a notch. Training under the able guidance of Cecile Landi, the Georgia freshman has made her debut for the GymDogs. Immediately, Harley caught everyone’s eyes with her scintillating performance. Getting on the beam, the young gymnast notched up a score of 9.850. This was commendable, as making such an impact on debut is no mean feat. Such an incredible achievement will surely make her father proud. And as her NFL dad had earlier pointed out in an Instagram post on November 9, 2023, Harley is the “Best Athlete in the house.”

Moreover, Harley’s performance will also serve as a major boost for the GymDogs. Opening their campaign at the Denver Quad Meet, Cecile Landi and co. faltered badly. They finished third behind Missouri and Denver. Fortunately, coming to their home, Georgia made a significant comeback to defeat Boise State on January 17, 2024. Notching up a score of 196.825, Cecile Landi’s girls emerged victorious as Boise State could only manage 193.600.

Thus, the GymDogs will be looking to continue with their winning momentum further. And performances like Harley Tomlin’s will only boost their chances. However, apart from Harley, there is another major driving force that should motivate the GymDogs. And it is none other than the US gymnastics GOAT, Simone Biles’ support for her ex-coach.
Simone Biles extends unwavering support towards Cecile Landi and Georgia
Simone Biles is now a Georgia supporter! While Biles never experienced the NCAA excitement, she is hyping up the GymDogs right from the beginning. It was ahead of the Paris Olympics that Cecile Landi stated about her decision to leave the WCC. And guess what? Biles was the first one to extend her warm hands of support. Biles said back then, “I’m so happy for you. You need to go… I can’t think of a more deserving person…”

And she has persisted with her support since then. Biles recently attended Georgia GymDogs’ home opener against Boise State along with Jonathan Owens. She opened up further about her stance on Landi in a video uploaded by Georgia Gymnastics back on January 23, 2025. Biles said, “We kinda always thought she would be a great college gymnastics coach but we just needed that opportunity and Georgia gave it to us. So we were like, wohooo, let’s go support Cecile!”
Biles continued with her support as she uploaded an Instagram story on January 24, 2025, stating that she was watching the GymDogs in action on her television. Thus, with so many good things happening for Cecile Landi’s GymDogs, it now remains to be seen how things pan out for them in the near future.
