Olivia Dunne is currently busy with her quest to retain the NCAA crown for LSU. However, amidst her busy schedule, Dunne has not forgotten about her superstar MLB boyfriend. Playing for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Paul Skenes had a fantastic season. So much so that Olivia Dunne saw Skenes’ rookie card surpass her by a huge margin. While the LSU heartthrob has her autographed debut card selling for $1794.95 on eBay, Skenes’ exclusive rookie card is valued at a whopping $1 million! 

And guess what? Showing her support for Skeenes, Dunne added a clause stating that whoever would pull the card would be able to watch a Pirates game in a private suit with none other than Olivia Dunne herself! Surprisingly, while an 11-year-old did become the lucky one to pull the card, he gracefully declined Dunne’s offer!

Instead, the lucky winner has decided to auction the card through Fanatics Collect. Now, that showcases the incredible hype that Paul Skenes has generated this year. Meanwhile, adding further to his already ornamented CV, Skenes recently received a major MLB honor. And as always, Olivia Dunne was there to support him. 

Paul Skenes is the Rookie of the Year

Paul Skenes has been phenomenal for the Pirates this season. With an IP of 133.0, Skenes dominated proceedings with an ERA of 1.96, 170 SO, and 0.95 WHIP. With no other athlete making quite an impact like the 22-year-old. Thus, when it came to deciding who the Rookie of the Year was, Paul Skenes was the obvious choice. In a star-studded affair at the BBWAA Awards Dinner in New York, Paul Skenes received his award officially. Clad in a black tuxedo, a bowtie, and a white shirt, Skenes looked quite classy. 

And supporting him, as always, was Olivia Dunne. Clad in a slick blue dress, the duo enjoyed their moments at the awards ceremony. Dunne posed with Skenes’ award in one of the pictures posted by the official Instagram page of the Pittsburgh Pirates on January 26, 2025. Skenes also posed in front of the camera with his proud family.

Joe Quagliano too posted pictures with the MLB star as he wrote, “Fantastic evening at the New York Chapter of the Baseball Writers’ Association of America 100th Anniversary dinner last night.” Apart from Olivia Dunne and Paul Skenes, several other notable names were joining the dinner. They were Dave Winfield, Aaron Boone, Tony Clark, Carlos Mendoza, Tracy Morgan, and more.

Coming back to Olivia Dunne, this was not the only supporting gesture that she made for the love of her life. In a recent TikTok update on January 23, 2025, Dunne shared a heartwarming video featuring Skenes. There were several clips highlighting the happy moments of the duo’s time together. With the tunes of ‘Chest Pain’ by Malcolm Todd playing in the background, the video portrayed Dunne’s unending love for the Pirates’ star. 

The compilation also included some goofy pictures of Skenes. Expressing her feelings for her beau, Dunne captioned the post, “He’s ight;)” Thus, with the duo becoming one of the prominent power couples of the sporting realm, it now remains to be seen how things pan out for them in the future.
