Jade Carey’s NCAA journey has been nothing short of extraordinary, but as her time with Oregon State comes to a close, the emotions are hitting hard. From committing to OSU at just 14 to becoming one of the most decorated gymnasts in NCAA history, every moment has shaped her. But beyond the medals and records, it’s the bond with her team and the unwavering support of Beaver Nation that made this experience unforgettable, and on one particular instance, the Olympic medalist truly realized how lucky she was.

On Senior Night, with 9,042 fans packing Gill Coliseum, Carey felt that love more than ever. As she soaked in the electrifying atmosphere, Carey couldn’t help but reflect on what OSU truly meant to her. The connection between Carey and Beaver Nation was undeniable, and on this historic night, that bond reached its peak.

For the two-time Olympian, this wasn’t just a farewell. It was a moment to honor a journey she never wanted to end. Reflecting on the growing support for OSU gymnastics, she told OSUBeaversAthletics, “It’s really awesome to see the community really buy into gymnastics and our team in general and to just see the growth of the fans every single meet and every single year, so I know that we’re all really grateful for Nation and we wouldn’t be here without them for sure.” That gratitude shone through in her performances, especially on March 15, when she nearly hit the elusive 40.000 all-around score, landing two perfect 10s on beam and floor.
