Jordan Chiles is skyrocketing to the gymnastics summit at the moment. Shrugging off the Olympic debacle, Chiles seems hell-bent on turning a new leaf this year. Back in Paris, the 23-year-old won the Olympic gold with Team USA. Her joy doubled when she was given the bronze medal for the floor exercise. Unfortunately, a counter-investigation from the CAS deemed her medal invalid.

This has led to widespread confusion. More than the uproar it caused, it was Chiles’ mental health that took a toll. But as things stand in 2025, Jordan Chiles is on fire! Chiles has already secured her first perfect 10 of the season earlier. Trying to guide the UCLA Bruins to the championship, the Olympian has yet again made ripples among the gymnastics community. In a recent face-off between the Bruins and Michigan State, Chiles and co. found themselves in a do-or-die situation.

And rising to the occasion, Chiles immediately proved why she was the next big thing in US gymnastics. Chiles not only scored her second perfect 10 of the season but she also resonated her positive energy to take the Bruins over the line. In a closely contested fight, the Bruins persisted with a 197.300-197.200 victory.

However, just this bit of information does not do justice to the magnitude of Jordan Chiles’ impact. With the judges getting criticized for unnecessary deductions by the likes of Olivia Dunne, Chiles not only scored a 10. She did it with a 104-degree fever! While such a revelation shocked the fans, Jordan Chiles opened up about a similar experience that drove her to power through the illness.

“Honestly, I just took my mindset back to 2017, when I had the flu game as if anybody knows. I was sick. I had 104 fever and I was just like, You know what? I’m gonna forget that in the past, I’m here as a team; we’re gonna go out there and do everything that we need to do,” Chiles said via FOX. Such a performance from Jordan Chiles will surely cheer the Bruins up.

If they have to make themselves heard as a championship contender, it is Jordan Chiles who will have to be in top form throughout the season. While UCLA is currently at number 6, they have some significant work to do in order to climb up the ladder and challenge the heavyweights. But with Chiles making merry, that opportunity looks quite a possibility in the future.

While the fans lauded her, Jordan’s mother, Gina Chiles too, could not control her emotions. Taking to her X account, she heaped praise on her champion daughter. Gina Chiles mentioned how this achievement has showcased Jordan’s grit and determination towards her sport.

But while Gina was reminiscing about the demons of the past, the Olympian’s mother found it soothing when the entire arena broke out in applause of Jordan Chiles. After all, it was not only her mother who was excited. The whole Bruins fanbase and everything in the gymnasium were also elated. And this means a lot for the young Bruin.

Jordan Chiles cannot be grateful enough for donning the prestigious leotard of the UCLA Bruins. After her incredible performance propelling the Bruins to a much-needed victory, Chiles seemed quite happy. After the meeting, she took to her social media to express her present state of mind. Surely, such a performance does deserve some celebration and self-recognition. After all, Chiles and her team’s incredible efforts also left their coach impressed. Head coach Janelle McDonald could not conceal his happiness. Witnessing the never-give-up attitude of his girls, he was mesmerized and utterly proud. “One of those moments in sports that you live for.

He further added, “I couldn’t be more proud of their resilience, fight, and grit in that moment. It showed who our team really is.” Thus, with Jordan Chiles looking in the pinkest of forms, it now remains to be seen how things pan out for the Bruins in the future.
