What a confusing time it must be for Jordan Chiles! She is just crushing the 2025 NCAA season, winning event title after event title, setting season-highs, achieving perfect 10s. Then, away from the court, she is dropping unbelievable, horrific bombshells of having dealt with racism, partiality, body-shaming, and what not. Then there’s the case of her Paris Olympics Bronze medal appeal, which has been rebuffed again. But Chiles is looking quite chilled out about all this.
The UCLA Bruins star says it doesn’t hurt that much now: “I can tell you I’m doing way better than I was when it first happened.” But losing an Olympic medal and launching a full-on legal battle is undoubtedly taxing, so how does she deal with it? How does she hold it together so that the setbacks don’t affect her career and performance? Well, Jordan Chiles has a principle, and she sticks to it no matter what. What is it, you ask? Let’s find out.
