When it comes to the transfer market, possibilities run amok. Aspiring to make a name for himself on the NFL front, Jonathan Owens signed with the Green Bay Packers initially. However, trying to find a stronger footing, Owens signed a lucrative contract with the Chicago Bears in 2024. And surely, it was one of Owens’ biggest contracts in his entire NFL career. The signing was confirmed for 2 years, with a total amount of $4,750,000. 

And that was not all. The clauses the contract had were even more intriguing. Owens was promised a $750,000 signing bonus along with a lump sum amount of $1,500,000 guaranteed. En route to a horseback riding session with Biles, Owens wrote, “Ngl, I’m lowkey a cowboy. Stay tuned for the videos.” And the phrase ‘cowboy’ was enough to startle the NFL fanbase. For the uninitiated, the Dallas Cowboys is a renowned team in the NFL. 

And soon several fans started to speculate whether this was a secret hint. Well, realistically speaking, the chances of Jonathan Owens joining the Dallas Cowboys are pretty low. He already has a two-year contract with the Chicago Bears. And while he has only played one season, Owens might not want to break free from his contract without trying to improve his performance.

In a February 19, 2025 update, Owens shared some snippets of the royal king of the jungle. Marveling at the lion’s majestic aura, Owens cannot help but caption the post, “Real life, Lion King.” Next up, Biles and Owens’ safari took a halt near a water body. And much to the thrill of the couple, it was the territory of a hippopotamus.

While they relaxed under the sun, the owner of the land, a wild hippopotamus, made its entry and headed straight for the water. Much to the delight of Owens and Biles, the animal started to play in the water. Excited at the sight, Owens wrote in his caption, “Then he started to give us a show.” Thus, enjoying their honeymoon to the fullest, Jonathan Owens and Simone Biles are having the best times of their lives.

Now, while there has been little controversy brewing, it remains to be seen if the rumors will be addressed by the NFL star in the future or not.
