It never mattered where we were or who we were up against – we always felt your presence. Thank you, Beaver Nation, for your incredible support this year. We can’t wait to see you again (orange heart emoji),” said the OSU team after they failed to make it to the semifinals of the NCAA. While for Jade Carey the door to elite gymnastics remains open, sadly, for one of her teammates, the goodbye was not only to the fans but to gymnastics as well. It was heartbreaking that she could not perform in the 2025 season. Recently, she penned down a heartfelt note on her social media, to which even Carry replied. But who are we talking about, and what did she say?

Carley Beeman, the 2022 WGCA All-American Scholar, took to Instagram to announce her goodbye to the fans. “Thank you gymnastics for all the lessons, memories, and friends. I wouldn’t be who I am today without it all. Hanging up the grips with a grateful heart.” Beeman joined Oregon State University’s gymnastics team in 2022 as a freshman. Both she and Carey swung multiple times on the uneven bars and walked the balance beam to carry OSU to victory. And how could Jade let go without saying goodbye?

Carey commented on the post, saying, “You are incredible cc (2x red heart emoji)“. The duo together had been great. Beeman’s career best on bars is 9.850, which she had hit 8 times, most recently against Brown in 2024. Moreover, in that meet, Jade Carey went on the uneven bars to score a 9.875. OSU won the meet with a total score of 197.575 against Brown’s 192.950. So when Carey calls Beeman “incredible,” we know she means it!

Interestingly, the OSU gymnast was also a 2023 Pac-12 Winter Academic Honor Roll. In her debut season, she played all 10 competitions and led off the bars lineup in all 14 meets of the 2023 season. Even as a student as well she was marvelous. The Chemistry department named Beeman Undergraduate of the Quarter on Jan. 17, 2024. OSU gymnastics shared a post honoring Beeman, “Being a part of OSU gymnastics has given me the chance to be part of something bigger than myself…Thank you, CC, for everything these past four years,” the post was captioned.

Carey shared the post on her story and wrote, “CC (Crown emoji) (orange heart emoji)“. Moreover, this was also the last time for Jade Carey in the orange Leotards as she graduated from the university. But what did she have to say about that?

Jade Carey pens down her emotional message as she bids goodbye

Taking to her Instagram story on March 24, 2025, Jade Carey bid her goodbye to the team she joined at the very tender age of 14. She wrote, “all the love in the world to Beaver Nation, and as always, go Beavs. (orange heart emoji)”. It has been 7 years since she joined the team and to this day, if you will ask her why, she will tell she fell in love with campus and felt connected with the coaches, teachers and staff.

She further reflected, “Beaver Nation, I can’t thank you enough for your love, support, passion, and energy. Every time in Gill is a special one, and every time I put on that orange and black, I am reminded of how lucky I am to be a part of this family.” A record-breaking crowd of 9,042 fans showed up at Gill Coliseum on March 15, OSU senior night where Carey near-perfect 39.925 all-around score.

You all have been by my side, supporting me through the good and the bad, whether it’s at home in Gill or on the world’s biggest stage. I am forever grateful to be a part of this amazing community.” She concluded. In her debut season, she hit 46 routines of 9.900 or higher. She finished the 2023 season with seven perfect 10.0s. In the 2024 season, she won 23 event titles to take sole possession of first place in program history with 117 total. WHAT A CAREER!!!
