They say lightning never strikes twice, but Jade Carey didn’t get the memo! Jordan wearing her orange and black with pride has lit up the NCAA Gymnastics like only she can. Oregon star has notched multiple perfect 10s. Case in point? On March 21, she stepped into Gill Coliseum like a gymnast on a mission. Oregon State’s final home meet before regionals? Yeah, it felt more like Jade’s personal highlight reel! And then, just when the crowd thought she couldn’t top herself, she nailed a perfect 10 on the floor. Her second in a row. The arena exploded! Carey had just hit a 39.850 all-around score, picking up five event titles along the way like it was just another Friday. As the music faded and the lights dimmed, one question lingered in every corner of the gym, could she carry this magic into regionals? No one knew. Well, we have the answers now.
Well, JADE CAREY DID JADE CAREY THINGS!—and then some. Stepping into the NCAA regional semifinals, the U.S. Olympian once again lit up the floor with a perfect 10, her third in a row on that event. Every tumble, every turn, every landing was pure electricity. And it didn’t stop there. Carey tied or won outright in all five categories—vault, bars, beam, floor, and all-around, capping the night with a jaw-dropping 39.850 total. Yep, undefeated in all-arounds this season. Still sounds unreal, right?
But this wasn’t a one-woman show. The Beavers showed up big time in Tuscaloosa. Their floor rotation? Explosive. A team score of 49.525, led by Carey but bolstered by strong routines from Sage Thompson (9.900), Kaitlin Garcia (9.900), and Sophia Esposito (9.875).

Then came the beam, the event that sealed their spot in the regional final. Carey’s 9.950 led the charge, while Gonzales, McMillan, Heather, and Esposito all posted strong scores. Oregon State’s final tally? 197.050, just behind Powerhouse Florida but comfortably ahead of NC State and Clemson. That second-place finish means one thing: they’re not done yet.
