Back when she first donned the Purple and Gold of the LSU, everyone was excited. So much so that even her former teammate Simone Biles took to Instagram to congratulate her buddy with the comment, “This is just the beginning, queen!” But since then, things have gone a whole 180 in her career as an injury forced her to miss the entire 2024 season. Her elite gymnastics career had already come to an end, so everyone was worried about what was in the future for the three-time national team member. But we finally might have some updates.
Addressing all the questions, regarding what the gymnast is doing as of now, Zoe Miller made a tweet on March 23, 2025. She wrote, “I’m not dead or transferring y’all“, that is one way to calm down the worried fans, whenever she’s coming back she’s coming back in the LSU outfit. Things get serious when she provides an update on her health, she says, “I’ve just been horribly sick for almost a month😂”
Things started going downhill for the American gymnast back in February 2024, when she injured her shoulder just before the Winter Cup. In April of that very year, she declared that her elite gymnastics career is over, in an Instagram post she wrote, “As I am 100% prioritizing my full recovery to be ready for college, this now means my elite career ends here.” Things didn’t go very well for her collegiate career as well.

Shattered by her Paris dreams being over, Miller thought she would get a fresh start in college, but destiny had its plans. The shoulder injury just didn’t turn out to be a lot bigger than it was. In All Things podcast it was revealed that Miller had torn the labrum in her shoulder, but no surgery was required, but the LSU scans revealed something different. She had to get five anchors placed in her shoulder, which ultimately meant that there were no collegiate gymnastics for her in 2024 and 2025.
Zoe Miller before the Injury
Zoe had a good junior career in 2019 with some good performances in the American Classic, U.S. Classic, and the National Championships, though she could not manage to get a podium finish in any of these. Her big break came in 2021 when her senior career began. In the Winter Cup, she achieved fifth place on uneven bars and eighth in the all-around. Fourth on uneven bars in U.S. Classic.

Though she places 12th in Olympic trails; filling to quality for the Olympics. In the 2022 Pan American Championships, she won silver on uneven bars, scoring 14,033, and assisted the U.S. team in earning silver. Before that, she contributed to the U.S. team’s gold medal.
