But things seem to have settled for her now. The social media queen will not have to say goodbye to her TikTok handle. Credit goes to Donald Trump. On Sunday, the President-elect announced an important decision on social media. He wanted to postpone the ban on TikTok using an executive order. That announcement ultimately delayed the ban. 

In just a few hours after facing issues in handling TikTok on January 19, American users started to see normalcy on the social media platform. Things returned to the previous state. Eventually, Olivia Dunne also found her TikTok handle back. The emotion of getting it back drove her to display her excitement. Eventually, she chose the same platform to share that emotion. Meanwhile, she uploaded a clip, captioning, “Wait what😭” And what did the clip show? 

It had Olivia Dunne making faces hearing the news of postponement. Also, to explain her glee more accurately, Livvy added a few lines to the description of the video. It read, “Me opening tik tok out of habit but it’s actually working again.” So, soon Olivia Dunne might be seen amassing numbers again from the promotions on TikTok. Well, in the past, she charged between $12,000 and $19,000 per post on TikTok. Obviously, those were promotional posts, and Livvy made a massive number out of those. 

Currently, the 22-year-old is in the fifth position on the NIL list of college athletes. Her NIL deals claim to be a staggering $4.2 million. She is the only college gymnast on the list. If the TikTok ban had lasted longer, her numbers would have plummeted. Fortunately, Donald Trump’s announcement came as a soul-saver for her. But what did he actually say? 

The US Supreme Court ordered ByteDance to sell off its American assets after finding the user data privacy in crisis on TikTok. The Chinese company failed to do that within the deadline. As a result, the ban came on Sunday. But Trump’s intervention stopped the suspension. In his social media post, the President-elect wrote, “I would like the United States to have a 50% ownership position in a joint venture. By doing this, we save TikTok, keep it in good hands, and allow it to say up. Without U.S. approval, there is no TikTok. With our approval, it is worth hundreds of billions of dollars—maybe trillions.”

Hr wants to provide time for ByteDance to find an American partner to buy a 50% stake in the company. Is there anyone like this? A popular name came up in the discussion, however. 

Olivia Dunne might not need to find another option 

The TikTok ban order shook Olivia Dunne deeply. For the last several weeks, she had been sharing posts related to her past spent on TikTok. Meanwhile, on January 18, she made up her mind. The LSU Tigers gymnast had no way of sitting still when TikTok was facing an existential crisis. She decided to move to LinkedIn to continue her promotional activities and deals. But Donald Trump’s last-minute decision stopped her shift to LinkedIn. She knows, however, that it is just a relief for a short instance. What about the needed US partner who can buy the 50% stake in ByteDance? 

The Chinese company isn’t ready to throw anything on the table. But after a fan’s plea, Mr. Beast dropped a meaningful post on X. In fact, after Olivia’s post on shifting, someone tagged the social media icon, penning, “SAVE TIKTOK. PLEASEEE DO SOMETHING @MRBEAST.”  In the meantime, he responded. In the reply box, Mr. Beast wrote, “Can’t say anything right now, stay tuned.” A piece of hope! Nothing has come up yet after that post. But the fans are hoping to see a justified solution. Olivia’s TikTok fans are not ready to lose her. The massive number of comments and reactions under her latest post supports that claim. The fans might get an answer in a few days.
