It’s been 6 months, and I finally found the joy again ❤️. To the alum, fans, and student-athletes, thank you 🙏🏽.”

In a nation-high 49.800 overall floor score, Chiles’ perfect 10 gave No. 6 UCLA its best routine as they defeated No. 5 Michigan State 197.300 to 197.200. What’s more, the Oregon native achieved all of this despite battling a high 104°F fever! We could never and this is what sets Jordan Chiles apart. Her resilience is unparalleled. In her interaction with Janay Honest, she expressed her feelings about being unwell. Chiles reported that she woke up with a fever of 104 degrees on Wednesday and even though it eventually subsided, she felt ill before the meeting. Chiles smilingly said, “I was just like, you know what. I’m going to forget that in the past I was here on the team. We’re going to go out there and do everything that we need to do.” The team always motivates each other, no matter what.
