What names would you attribute to celebrity gymnasts? Most probably two names, Olivia Dunne and Jordan Chiles, right? And it might not be wrong to say that Chiles is making the headlines more; after all, with all the Paris drama, the TIME’s women of the year achievement and the Nike commercial, it’s quite impossible to miss the UCLA gymnast these days. The interesting thing about the Nike commercial was that it had big faces like Sha’carri Richardson and A’ja Wilson and was first aired during the Super Bowl this year, and it’s special for the Olympian!!! She said it herself.
“I was just in awe,” said Jordan Chiles. She, herself was present at the Super Bowl when the commercial aired and in a recent interview with ESPN she said, “I was actually sitting at the Super bowl and I, you know, we’re getting a bunch of texts because I forgot it was going live while I was going to be there. And I was just like, you know, people were, it was like buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz. And I was like, what is happening?” She was oblivious until she watched the commercial.
The commercial’s closing frame was also the Paris gold medalist, and she shared the screen with the likes of basketball sensations: Caitlin Clark, A’ja Wilson, and Sabrina Ionescu, track star Sha’Carri Richardson; and tennis champion Aryna Sabalenka. And she gushed on, “it just melted my heart because I honestly, being around such amazing athletes like Ionescu, like A’ja, like, you know, Sabrina and, you know, Caitlin Clark and having just that woman empowerment.”

The inclusion sealed her fate as one of the big names in sports, making her feel powerful and seen. She continued, “I felt so recognized in a tremendous way. It wasn’t just like, oh yeah, you’re a gymnast, but it just felt like this big, you know, bubble of warm welcome of being like, okay, she’s that girl, she’s doing her thing.” And who else is to thank for all this other than the brand that is named after the Greek goddess of victory.

Chiles expressed her gratitude to Nike, “And thank you to Nike, really, like for believing in me and giving me that opportunity.” Things like these are always an example of manifestation; Think about it, you grow up watching your favorite athletes on the television, thinking of meeting them, and the next thing you know, you’re in a commercial for one of the biggest brands of the world with some of the biggest names in the world of athletics. Something along these lines happened to Chiles once again, and back then, she made it to TIME’s.

Jordan Chiles: Growing up with Print magazines to being in one
In February 2025, Jordan Chiles was featured in the list of TIME’s 2025 Women of the Year alongside Nicole Kidman, A’ja Wilson, Jordan Chiles, and 10 other leaders. A great achievement for sure, once again for one of those childhood dreamers heavily influenced by faces in a magazine and the next thing you know, your hard work has earned you a sweet spot in there. Talking on this, Chiles got asked, “when you hear me say that, what goes through your mind?”

To which she replied, “Like as a little kid, you always dream of doing a million things, but you never know what’s going to come true and what’s going to become your reality.” But if the kid works hard for it, he/she does finally make it. And so did Jordan, who found, “being on the cover of my first ever paper, like print (4:56) magazine is just crazy” and also made her realize other things as well.
Before all this, she had said “There’s so many things I go through my mind, but it finally made me realize how much support and (4:41) how much, you know, ability that I was able to put out into the world.” Perhaps the most Jordan has given to the world is inspiration, through ways in which she still juggles her legal problems without letting it hamper her performance with the UCLA Bruins is just something immaculate, and this dream has finally come to fruition.
