Well, since April 16, a disturbing silence has gripped those who know Sam Ruddock. The British Paralympian, who is a fighter with cerebral palsy, turned limits into launchpads in both shot put and cycling – simply went silent after April 16.
He’d flown to Las Vegas on the 13th, stars in his eyes about attending WrestleMania (April 19) on a dream trip. But something went off after 16. Since then? Nothing. No posts. No calls. No trace. Friends were worried. Authorities were searching. And the sports world watched with held breath. So many questions, no answers. And now… well, there is an update!
And it’s one that finally lets us all exhale. On April 28, Sam’s close friend and European championship silver medalist in 60m hurdles, Lucy Hatton shared this on her story: “Sam has been found he is physically well and we will now work on getting him home safely It’s been a tremendously Hard time and from the Bottom of my heart, thank You everyone Sam was found because of The volume of noise made And the awareness Everyone created.“

Authorities confirmed the same news. As People reported, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department stated, “A missing person report was filed on April 24, 2025. Through the course of the investigation, the individual has been located safe.”
Sam, a decorated British Paralympian and two-time world champion cyclist was dropped by her friend around 1 PM on April 16, before he was missing, Hatton shared to Cycling Weekly, “His final social media activity was earlier that morning, showing him at the Gold and Silver Pawn Shop — this is his last known location,” she further added.

“Sam stayed one night at the Bungalow Hostel Hotel but did not check out and did not return to collect his belongings. Since then, there has been no communication or confirmed sightings, which quickly raised the red flags. His mother, Fran Ruddock, also echoed this concern and spoke to Lincolnshire police after the disappearance, as reported by the Independent.
