There will be 16 events in canoeing at the Tokyo Olympics 2020 which is split equally among men and women. Canoeing slalom events will take place from July 25–30 2021 while the sprint events will be held between August 2–7 2021.
Germany is the most decorated nation in the history of canoeing at the Olympic games. Hungary (80) has more medals than Germany (71), but the latter has more gold medals under its banner.
