The women’s downhill event at the Winter Olympics was abruptly stopped following a horrifying crash involving a French skier. The accident was so grave, the skier’s screams were apparently heard by everyone before the live stream was cut off.
The Women’s Downhill Ski was taking place on the “Rock” course at Yanqing National Alpine Ski Center ski resort in Yanqing District. This event is already said to be one of the most dangerous sports in the game, and this incident was a reminder of that.

French skier sufferers horrifying crash at Winter Olympics
The alpine downhill ski race is rumored to be one of the most dangerous events. This is because of the high speed and sharp turns that it consists. Moreover, the slope is also extremely aligned and skiers have to make several high jumps in order to complete the race.
The Beijing Winter Olympics Downhill ski race was in full progress on Tuesday. About 30 skiers had already completed their course, before French skier Camille Cerutti suffered a horrible crash during her run.
She lost control during the Saddleback jump and had a bad landing. She additionally lost her skis, as she crashed down the slope.

Cerutti was heard ailing in extreme pain as the live stream was cut off. Several watchers have taken to Twitter to narrate how they heard her screaming before the stream was stopped.

Cerutti is a talented French skier, who won the 2021 French National Super G title. As a skier, the 23-year-old prefers ice, steep slopes, and a lot of speed.

“Not the bumps, which I hate. I am not very strong on the flats, I am not a good slider. I am better on the technical parts,” revealed Cerutti previously.
