The Warriors had a fantastic second quarter, scoring 38 points.

In Game 5 of their NBA playoff series against the Lakers, the Warriors were able to extend the second round by at least one more game. Unfortunately for the Lakers, they were dealt a potentially fatal blow when Anthony Davis was forced to depart the game late in the fourth quarter due to what seemed to be a head injury.

Davis sustained the injury after Kevon Looney’s elbow accidentally struck him. The gravity of the situation became clear when Davis required assistance to leave the court. He ultimately had to be taken to the locker room in a wheelchair. Meanwhile, NBA analysts Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley couldn’t stop laughing at the injured player.

Ernie Johnson was reading out Anthony Davis’ condition during a recent episode of ‘Inside the NBA.’ He bought up the fact that AD was woozy after he was knocked to the floor. He also revealed that the severity of AD’s condition is unknown. However, Shaq and Chuck couldn’t stop laughing over what transpired in Game-5.

When Ernie Johnson asked Shaq about what he was laughing about, Shaq replied that he was laughing at Chuck. However, Chuck replied that it was Shaq crumbling up a piece of paper that made Chuck laugh. However, they didn’t just laugh, their eyes were filled with tears from the laughter.

This incident elicited heavy backlash from fans, even an ex-NFL player reacted to it.

Following Shaq and Chuck laughing at the injured player, the recent episode went viral. They had to delete the episode due to the attention it got. Meanwhile an ex-NFL player, Marcus Holliday?popularly known as ‘Doc Holiday’ called out the NBA analyst duo for their recent actions. He took to Twitter to share the following video.

With the caption, “@SHAQ and Charles Barkley was way out of line for laughing at Anthony Davis on @NBAonTNT!”,?the ex-NFL player called their recent behavior unprofessional. He said, “People keep giving them a pass where they just, they joke, that’s what their show is all about. No, there’s nothing funny about somebody getting hurt.”

He continued by saying that they continue to show their hate for a young man. “A young man that is old enough to be their child,” he said.

This statement was particularly aimed at Barkley. Charles Barkley became a grandfather in 2022, as his daughter, Christiana Barkley gave birth to a baby boy during the year. His daughter Christiana Barkley is 34, whereas Anthony Davis is younger than her, being 30. Barkley is old enough to be Davis’ father.
