Schneiderlin said, “I am delighted to be a Manchester United player. Once I learned that United were interested in signing me, it was a very easy decision to make. I have enjoyed seven very happy years with Southampton and it’s a club that will always be in my heart. But the chance to be part of this squad to help this great club be successful was too good to miss.”

The French International will soon be having a medical at United.
Schneiderlin will join fellow new arrival Bastain Schweinsteiger in the defensive midfield along with Micheal Carrick.

This is the 4th major signing made by Louis van Gaal, who has already signed the likes of Memphis Depay and right back Matteo Darmian.

The Manchester United manager said, “Morgan is a very talented player with great energy and ability. His skills will complement the players that we already have and I am very pleased that we have been able to complete this deal before the tour to the United States. That training camp will be very important in our preparations for the new season and gives Morgan and the other players a chance to show our fans what they can achieve together.”

United had a bid rejected  for Schneiderlin last week and after the arrival of Schweinsteiger from Bayern, there were doubts if there will be another bid.

But, if there are no further issues, Schneiderlin will be participating in the pre-season tour with his new club in US.

Schneiderlin, who joined the Saints from Strasbourg in 2008 for £1.2m, has helped the club in their promotion to the Premier League from League One. The player, who rejected offers from other clubs last season as he agreed to stay at the club for one more season, leaves with his head held high and blessings of the fans.

The signing will certainly boost United’s title chances as Schneiderlin has proven himself in England and still just 25, the best is yet to come from the French star.
