Back in 1994-95, when both the Worm and Doc Rivers were playing with the San Antonio Spurs, Rivers had the crazy idea of letting the Detroit Pistons legend babysit his son.

During the game between the Los Angeles Lakers against the Sacramento Kings, Doc Rivers shared the old story. He revealed that once he had the Rebounding King babysit his son, Austin Rivers. Although Dennis Rodman willingly took up the responsibility, the coach later regretted his decision.

Speaking of the Worm, he said, ?It was a one-time thing, but when I was in San Antonio, I wanted to go out, and we used Dennis Rodman for one night babysitting Austin and some of our kids.? Rivers added, ?I don?t know if I?m parent of the year or the worst parent.?
As the coach turned analyst recalled, the house was in complete disarray upon their return. It seems the reason why Rodman was enthusiastic to take up the job was because he thought it only meant playing with the kids. “The house was a mess,”?recalled the 62-year-old.

One of the netizens even hilariously added how they wouldn’t even let the 2x DPOY babysit their pet rock. While it certainly had Rivers question his parenting skills, fellow announcer Dave Pasch had a different advice.

He added, “You’re probably fortunate it was just the house that was the mess and the kids were okay.”
Well, Rivers? son Austin turned out just as great as Rodman’s daughter Trinity. While the young Rivers plays for the Minnesota Timberwolves, Trinity is doing wonders in the soccer world.
