Mauro Ranallo also released a statement on Facebook. He thanked WWE for letting him live his dream of working in sports entertainment.

“I appreciate the opportunity I had to realize my childhood dream of working in sports entertainment, and I wish WWE well in the future. Now I want to direct my focus and devote my time to my other projects and to my mental health charitable activities and the well-being of my mother and myself.”

Ranallo was an independent contractor in the WWE. This helped him work for combat sports even though he was a part of NXT. If one remembers clearly, Ranallo was absent at NXT Takeover: XXX. Ranallo wasn’t even on the previous edition of NXT’s weekly episode.

According to rumors, Ranallo has many family issues to deal with. This is one of the key reasons former Nexus leader Wade Barrett came in for NXT last week. There are good chances that Barrett will become a full-time commentator with the brand.

Mauro Ranallo leaves WWE for the second time

Mauro Ranallo was a part of SmackDown back in 2017. Ranallo was absent from WWE commentary in the March 2017 edition of SmackDown and also missed WrestleMania 33.

After initial rumors about him having beef with JBL, Ranallo himself clarified the truth. The illustrious commentator was overwhelmed with the volume of work and travel associated with the WWE.  Resultantly, he decided to take a break from the promotion.
