The Red Carpet show is going to be aired on NASCAR.com, NASCAR’s YouTube channel, and NASCAR’s social media handles. The show is going to be hosted by Jessie Punch and Alex Weaver. This event is expected to run until 6.m. ET before the main event kicks off at the Charlotte Convention Center.

However, those who want to watch the ceremony on TV will have to wait for an additional two days. The repeat telecast of the entire award show will be aired on the CW network on Sunday, 24th November 2024. Cities like New York, Las Vegas, and Nashville, but this time around NASCAR will be honoring its star in its own backyard in Charlotte.

In addition to celebrating the champions across the three series, NASCAR will hand out special awards to noteworthy figures. We have the Comcast Community Champion of the Year award, which celebrates an individual’s efforts that impact the local communities. Erik Jones, NASCAR employee Scott Crowell, and Charlotte Motor Speedway employee Susan McKee are the finalists for this year. As per Comcast, Erik Jones is the winner of the Community Champion of the Year award.

Of course, all eyes will be on the National Motorsports Press Association’s (NMPA) Most Popular Driver award. Chase Elliott is the favorite to clinch this title for a seventh consecutive year, while Justin Allgaier from the Xfinity Series could bag his fifth one. For the first time, a Truck Series driver will also be included in this segment. For Allgaier, it will be a tough race, especially since Chase Elliott is a big fan favorite. He’s won the award 6 times in a row and stands as a likely prospect this year.

You also have the Bill France Award for Excellence, the Betty Jane France Humanitarian Award, and the NMPA Myers Brothers Award, which are all going to be featured during the ceremony. So there’s a lot to look out for other than just drivers being celebrated for their accomplishments.

It’s almost impossible to compile the best of the best moments from the NASCAR awards. However, we’ve tried to highlight a few notable ones that stand out and are still vivid within the NASCAR community.

#1: Dale Earnhardt ties the record of seven titles alongside Richard Petty

The 1994 awards saw drivers from two generations sharing a common stage and achievement. It was indeed a big deal; people thought no one would be able to come close to Richard Petty’s sheer dominance in terms of championship wins. But the Intimidator certainly broke that barrier with the #3 team and drew level with “The King” himself. “That was the feat I thought would never be tied,” Earnhardt said, tipping his hat to Petty. Since then, only Jimmie Johnson has managed to break into this exclusive group with his seven championship wins.

#2: Jeff Gordon raises a toast to Dale Earnhardt

In 1995, Dale Earnhardt was involved in an epic battle on the racetrack against the young Jeff Gordon. The HMS star did receive the typical intimidator treatment by his rival, but he certainly had the last laugh, bagging his first title. Earnhardt had previously joked that if Gordon won the championship, he would raise a toast for everyone with milk. Well, the HMS star certainly made the most of the opportunity and brought out a glass of milk on the award stage for the toast. Even Dale Earnhardt got up on his feet to celebrate Jeff Gordon’s maiden triumph.

#3: Kyle Busch’s epic entry alongside his 6-month-old son Brexton

Kyle Busch has had a tough time trying to garner the support of the NASCAR fans. He always used to be amped up and was unapologetic in the way he raced. However, in 2015, for the first time, fans got a glimpse of his real personality when he shared the award stage with his wife Samantha and 6-month-old son Brexton. Rowdy donned a classic black Tuxedo with a bow tie and black sunglasses, whereas baby Busch was also twinning with his dad.
