It’s time for the final Grand Slam of the season and players are set to compete at the US Open this year. Since it is the last chance for players to get a shot at Grand Slam glory, they will be giving it their all.
As we approach the US Open, we take a look at the players who have received the heaviest fines to date. At times, the emotions do get the better of the players and it results in some outbursts at times. Players such as Novak Djokovic, Serena Williams, and Daniil Medvedev lead the list at the US Open in this aspect.

Novak Djokovic leads the list at the US Open
The Serb was not just fined but also disqualified from the US Open last season for hitting the ball on the lineswoman. In doing so, he was fined $267,500. During the 2018 US Open final, Serena was fined $17,000 for violating the code of conduct. In 2019, Medvedev was fined close to $19,000 for foul language, unsportsmanlike behavior.
Besides these three top players, even the Bryan brothers have been fined $10,000 for making a shooting gesture towards the officials. Carla Suarez Navarro was fined $40,000 for not playing as a professional as the supervisors reviewed her game when she retired from her match midway.

The US Open 2021 begins on the 30th of August and will end on the 12th of September. This year, superstars like Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Serena Williams will not be seen. However, top guns like Novak Djokovic and Naomi Osaka will lead from the front. We wish all the players the very best in this last Grand Slam event of the season and may the better player win.
