World No.1 Novak Djokovic is often associated with the term ‘mind of steel’. This was given to him seeing his mental strength during the crunch moments in matches. He has often bettered his opponent, not just with his skill but with his mental strength as well. And now, while looking at last decade’s stats, there is another record that highlights this power.

The most recent player to win a tiebreaker against Djokovic was Dominic Thiem at the semifinals of the ATP Finals 2020. During the same tournament, Djokovic showed his tiebreaker prowess against Alexander Zverev.
In their group stage match, Zverev was dominating the second set, which had the winner count at 27-7 in the German’s favor. But Djokovic hung in there and the set went into the tiebreaker where Zverev choked under pressure and Djokovic won the set and match.
