Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic are two of the most powerful forces in tennis to reckon with. There aren’t any opponents in the ATP world that these two guys haven’t beaten. Besides, both of these athletes have a combined 37 Grand Slam titles to their name. At his prime, Federer was extremely difficult to beat. Only Rafael Nadal, currently world number 2, could consistently defeat the Swiss maestro, mostly on clay courts. But Djokovic has certainly made his mark in the last decade.

Novak Djokovic is an absolute beast

The World No. 1 is a dominant force on the court. Even for seasoned athletes like Federer and Nadal, the DJoker is a tough opponent. Both the Swiss and the Spaniard have themselves admitted this. Novak and Roger have faced each other 50 times. The former leads their matchups 27–23 (13–6 across all finals & 11–6 in Grand Slams). That record speaks for itself.

Novak Djokovic got the better of Roger Federer

A fan stated that in the last six tiebreakers between Federer and Djokovic, the latter has committed just one unforced error. Like many others, the legendary Chris Evert was also awestruck with this stat. Well, the DJoker is certainly paying attention to his game and improvement. But what shocks us, is Federer’s data. In those six instances, the 38-year old Swiss committed 19 such errors.

The post reads, “In the last 6 tiebreaks between fed and djoker, Djokovic has committed 1 unforced error(in Cincinnati 1st set tb). Federer has committed 19 unforced errors.”

Former world number 1, Chris Evert, later shared the post, with the caption, “No words… that’s impossible to imagine…but, that’s why Novak is so mentally superior..”

It isn’t likely that Federer will say goodbye to his beloved sport anytime soon. And before that happens, he would certainly win more Grand Slams. But given the age of the Serbian, 33, it is highly probable that he would end up winning more Grand Slams throughout his career. But for that, he needs to maintain his current run. Among the “Big Three”, Nadal is more likely to touch or overtake Federer’s tally before Novak. The 34-year old currently has 19 singles titles to his name.
