Monte Carlo Masters 2021 draw is out and there are some riveting contests on offer with many elite players headline the main draw. There are the usual heavyweights in Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, but challenging them is a long list of young players, and some are even close to them.

The top four seeds in Monte Carlo are Novak Djokovic, Daniil Medvedev, Rafael Nadal, and Stefanos Tsitsipas. The top eight seeds receive the first-round bye.

The draw is terrifying for Djokovic. He may have to play Jannik Sinner and Hubert Hurkacz in the second round and third round, respectively. Moreover, he could then face World No.6 Alexander Zverev in the quarterfinals. Furthermore, he finds Stefanos Tsitsipas in his half.

Novak Djokovic returns to play in 2021 after his Australian Open 2021 triumph. Although he won another Grand Slam down under, it came at a cost as his abdominal tear became a significant injury. Thus the Serbian took some time out and later now returned to the clay court.

Medvedev could renew his rivalry with Diego Schwartzman in the quarterfinals. And he is on the same side of the draw with Rafael Nadal.

Daniil Medvedev finds himself as the second seed after a steep rise in rankings. He is ranked second, ahead of Rafael Nadal. Generally, clay court has been his Achilles heel, but last time around in Monte Carlo, Medvedev had managed to reach the semifinals.

Rafael Nadal looking at a record 12th title in Monte Carlo Masters 2021

Rafael Nadal could face a stern test against Grigor Dimitrov in the third round. Later there could be a possible clash with Andrey Rublev in the quarterfinals. Furthermore, then he could play another Russian in Medvedev in the semifinals.

Rafa has managed to make another fortress on the clay courts of Monte Carlo. He has won a mammoth 11 titles there and is looking for a record-extending 12th this year.

Stefanos Tsitsipas’s road to Monte Carlo Masters title

Tsitsipas could face Matteo Berrettini in the quarterfinals and then could book a clash with World No.1 Novak Djokovic in the semifinals.

The fourth seed, Stefanos Tsitsipas, has had little to cheer in 2021. Although he has gone long in multiple tournaments, he has failed to finish off the matches. Tsitsipas has only made two appearances in Monte Carlo, both resulting in early exits.
