The NBA is all set to return with its most anticipated match on the very first day. The face-off between Los Angeles Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers has been much awaited, even before the 2019-20 season began. Kawhi Leonard and LeBron James, the key players of their respective teams, are hell-bent on getting a win. LeBron wants to maintain the three-time NBA championship, and Kawhi has a lot to prove with an underestimated team behind him.

The Los Angeles Clippers are going up against the Lakers without Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell. Both these players are still in quarantine. Harrell had to leave for a family emergency and Williams did not follow the Safety Protocol Handbook of the Orlando Bubble and left the hotel premises.
Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are said to lead the way for the team in this match. They do have some decent teammates for support as well. Like Ivica Zubac, Patrick Beverley, Reggie Jackson, and so on.
Shane Young, the NBA analyst for Forbes Sports, quoted Paul George in his recent tweet about the upcoming match with Lakers. The tweet read,” Paul George before shootaround, on the Lakers matchup: “I think you just have to make the game tough for LeBron and AD. Nothing easy for them. Those are two guys that thrive in the paint. It has to be a game where they see multiple bodies and it has to be a physical game.”

Will Los Angeles Lakers fare better?
The Los Angeles Lakers will be playing without Rajon Rondo and Avery Bradly. Therefore, Lebron James and Anthony Davis will be the backbones for the upcoming game. At first, Anthony Davis was not expected to play after his eye injury in the previous match. However, after having practiced properly on Wednesday, he said to the Los Angeles Times that, “I get it evaluated again tonight by one of the doctors here and just kind of get an update from them. So, that’s the plan for me to play,”.
The Lakers beat reporter for the LA Times tweeted a video of Davis at his practice session.

Kyle Kuzma, J. R. Smith, and Danny Green are also some of the great players playing for the Lakers.
This showdown can go both ways. Either the Clippers could become a big barrier for the Lakers or this could turn into an easy win for the LA Lakers.
