A task like no other
Since 2013, there is one trick that has been on Shaun White’s mind, and that is the triple cork (three diagonal flips). This move is considered one of the most difficult, and there are only a number of snowboarders who had attempted till recently.
White was attempting this trick back in 2013, and it landed him in the hospital twice, almost breaking his pelvis once. That is when White decided to put a brake on it.
But now, as years have passed, a triple cork has become quite a common trick which almost all the snowboarders at Beijing 2022 will put on display. And White must also master this trick to put himself out there in the front.

“It’s nice to have a new trick, but it’s like, can you put it down when you need to?” White said.
Snowboarder Ayumu Hirano was the first athlete to land the trick. White has been busy trying to perform this trick. However, there are many things to consider while doing this trick.
“And there’s still the whole rest of the run that you have to do. So, I don’t know. Maybe at this event, or something else leading up to it, we’ll see where things are at,” he added.
Only just performing the trick won’t do. The athlete must be able to complete their run after performing the triple cork.
Shaun White hasn’t found the need for performing the triple cork yet
Up till now, White hasn’t found the necessity of performing this trick. However. he has assured his fans that when the right time comes, he won’t back off.
“It’s definitely not off my radar. It’s something I really want to get in my bag of tricks,” said the 35-year-old.
