The Tampa Bay Buccaneers blew a 17-0 lead against the Cincinnati Bengals. Although the defense of Tampa Bay was stellar in the first half of the game, it did not take enough time for Joe Burrow and his team to score 34 points. As the Bengals celebrated their comeback win, one of the players of the winning team dissed the starting QB of the Bucs, Tom Brady.
After struggling for weeks, it looked like Brady and his team were making the right plays when they opened with a 14-point halftime lead. Tampa produced 16 first downs, 261 total yards, and an average of 6.53 yards per play on 40 snaps during the first two quarters, including 194 passing yards. However, in the second half, the tables were turned as the Bucs could not get out of their own way.

Before facing the Bengals in Week 15, the seven-time Super Bowl-winning champion discussed the new AFC North leaders on his weekly podcast, Let’s Go! “Great team, great young quarterback, fairly tough defense. Good skill players,” Tampa Tom said. Although that statement did not seem like a jab, neither was it amped up by the Bengals fans, it looked like it offended the team members.

Therefore, Eli Apple, the 27-year-old cornerback of the Bengals, did not hold himself back. When a reporter asked him questions about the game outside the locker room, he was ready with a mean answer.
Apple explained that he played well and also picked on Tampa Bay’s opening offensive series. He also referred to T12 as an “old man.” “Got to get that old man tap dancing, man,” the cornerback said while talking about the Bengals’ second-half surge, via The Athletic. “Got to get him out of the pocket and get him uncomfortable.”

Eli Apple is notorious for engaging in trash talks. In the previous season, he instigated Baltimore Ravens and the Kansas City Chiefs with his words after he defeated them.
What’s next for the Bucs?
Brady threw two interceptions and fumbled the ball twice. The Pewter Pirates are now 6-8 but still rank at the top in the NFC South division. Their troubles can get worse when they will have to face the Panthers and the Falcons for two divisional games.
