Nintendo Switch becomes the best-selling console in October
According to MatPiscatella’s data, Nintendo has surpassed PlayStaion5 in terms of best-selling hardware platform in October. He said on Twitter,” US NPD HW – Switch was the best-selling hardware platform of October in both units and dollars, aided by the launch of the Nintendo Switch – OLED Model. PlayStation 5 remains the best-selling hardware platform of 2021 year-to-date in dollars, while Nintendo Switch leads in units.”

From the above data, we can assume that the new OLED Switch Model was the major reason for Nintendo’s success. The new Switch OLED console has a 7-inch OLED multi-touch capacitive touch screen with a resolution of 1280x720p. Whereas, the standard Switch console has a 6.2-inch LCD multi-touch capacitive touch screen with a resolution of 1280x720p.
Furthermore, The OLED Switch uses an organic light-emitting diode (OLED) panel instead of the standard Switch’s liquid crystal display (LCD) panel. Naturally, many users were drawn towards the new OLED Switch console; however, none anticipated that the launch of the OLED console will put such an impact on Nintendo’s sales.
