Epic has a plan to combat cheaters, hackers, clout farmers, and everyone ruining competitive integrity. This October, FNCS will be a significant part of that plan. It is high time, as the Fortnite pros have not been having a great time since the beginning of this chapter.
Pros are preparing for the FNCS heats to begin soon. Ninja was watching players practice in the FNCS warmups for NA East.
Ninja suggests a Fortnite league format before the upcoming FNCS
As an authority over the Fortnite community, Ninja’s contributions are unparalleled. Thus, his opinions about a structured competitive league do not sound unfounded.
Recently, on the Fortnite Competitive Reddit group, a user posted an audio clip of Ninja giving his opinion about the competitive format. Developers may want to give it a listen as Ninja postulates a brilliant idea. He points out how a proper League could be beneficial for all parties involved.
I see way to many times high level players being griefed by lower quality players who don’t know when to fight and just ruin both games and also don’t end up qualifying. There needs to be a safe space for the top teams to compete.

Ninja also mentions that the Cups will always have the essence of griefing, as randoms will play there too. Stream sniping is also quite prevalent in Cash Cup tournaments.
In terms of FNCs, the already established veteran players deserve to have a Fortnite League and lobbies. Ninja mentions that a League is necessary for being respected in the eSports community. Perhaps he had something like CDL in his mind.

While several comments referred to how Fortnite Heats and Scrims do that job, some pointed out the adversities of having a League.
One of the comments mentioned, “I feel like a league woul d be negative to the health of the competitive scene, especially one that involved the actual teams (ala – team NRG, team FaZe, etc.).
“One of the best parts about the scene as-is is that ANYONE can grind to the top and become a champion. Forcing players to go through a “trusted” system is just going to inhibit that, and I certainly don’t trust the top 100 players to NOT grief others.

“At the end of the day, it’s a Battle Royale game. Griefing is inevitable and taking major steps to prevent that would most likely have negative consequences. If pro players want to make the game more “competitive,” they should encourage Epic (and other pro players) to do more boxfighting.”
Regardless of prevalent notions, a League might be the future of competitive Fortnite. Hopefully, as players gear up for the upcoming FNCS, the changes added will bring success to the worthy ones.
