Nicolas Otamendi, who has been long awaiting to move out of Valencia, is planning to go all out with a strike.
According to a number of reports, Nicolas Otamendi has already issued Valencia an ultimatum that he will not be training with the club any more.
The 27-year-old Argentine player has even threatened to go on a strike. The player reportedly asked his family to start making arrangements and be prepared to leave Spain.
The center-back is reportedly a Manchester United target and manager Louis van Gaal is keen to bring him to Old Trafford. The player is aware of the strong interest shown in him by the EPL giants and is hence planning on taking such a huge step and repeat what Marcos Rojo did last season to make his Manchester United dream a reality.
Nicolas Otamendi had a wonderful season with Valencia, being named in the La Liga team of the season ahead of many world-class defenders and making it to the Champions League. The story with national team Argentina was also the same as the player was brillant at the back during Copa America as the Argentines reached the final and the player was also named in the Copa America Team of the Tournament.
With these impressive stats and records, the only problem coming in the way is the transfer fee between the two clubs as Valencia are adamant not to sell the player for anything less than 35 million pounds. Manchester United are unwilling to meet this valuation and are taking time to consider their options. However, Nicolas Otamendi has grown more and more impatient, wanting to move out very quickly and is forcing this move, hoping that Valencia reduces the price and the deal finally happens.
