The Eagles‘ coaching staff is getting picked apart like a Black Friday sale, trying to get everything at once and the Saints are first in line grabbing everything they can. With Kellen Moore now running the show in New Orleans, he’s wasting no time bringing in familiar faces from Philly. Meanwhile, Nick Sirianni is stuck watching his staff get raided, trying to figure out how to fill the gaps before next season.

First up, Doug Nussmeier, the Eagles’ quarterbacks coach, is on track to become the Saints’ new offensive coordinator. If it happens, it’ll be his first shot at running an NFL offense. Right behind him is T.J. Paganetti, Philly’s run game specialist and assistant offensive line coach, who’s also heading to New Orleans. The Saints are stacking their staff, while the Eagles are left scrambling.

Big addition to Kellen Moore’s staff. The Saints are hiring TJ Paganetti from the Eagles, according to a source. Paganetti served as a run game specialist and assistant offensive line coach for Philadelphia last season.

And they’re not stopping there. The Saints also brought in Eagles running backs coach Jemal Singleton for an interview for their OC spot. Nussmeier seems like the favorite, but Singleton’s experience with Philly’s run-heavy offense makes him a strong option too. Even if he doesn’t land the coordinator gig, don’t be surprised if Moore finds a spot for him.

For Nick Sirianni, this offseason is turning into a full-on coaching rebuild. With Moore, Nussmeier, Paganetti, and possibly Singleton all packing their bags for New Orleans, the Eagles offense is about to get a serious makeover.

Saints stuck in a tough spot: Keep QB or cut ties?

Derek Carr’s time in New Orleans might be coming to an end sooner than expected. After nearly a decade with the Raiders, he got cut in 2022 and landed with the Saints. But now, with a whopping $51.5 million cap hit on the books for 2025, the team has a big decision to make. NFL.com’s Matt Okada pointed out that while Carr is a solid middle-tier QB, his price tag is way too high for a team drowning in cap issues.

What’s your perspective on:

Are the Eagles' coaching losses a sign of trouble, or can Sirianni turn this around?

Have an interesting take?

The thing with Carr is, he’s not bad—he’s just not great either. He won’t tank your team, but he also hasn’t proven he can take one on a deep playoff run. And because he’s just good enough to keep the Saints from completely bottoming out. They won’t be in a prime position to draft a top rookie QB anytime soon. With an aging roster, weak draft capital, and basically no free agency money, New Orleans might have no choice but to shake things up.

If the Saints decide to cut ties, teams desperate for a veteran QB could come calling—especially if he comes cheap like Russell Wilson did last season. For New Orleans, moving on from Carr might just be the first step in a full-blown rebuild. And with Kellen Moore already reshaping the coaching staff, a fresh start might be exactly what they need.
