The Australian tennis player, Nick Kyrgios pulled out from the Day Three of Laver Cup 2019. Kyrgios cited a shoulder injury for his withdrawal from the tournament. After his withdrawal, Taylor Fritz from Team World we will be taking on the court for the singles match against the Austrian, Dominic Thiem.

Earlier on Sunday, Rafael Nadal withdrew from all his matches at Laver Cup, which led to the annulment of  ‘Fedal’ showdown in Geneva. He withdrew due to an inflammation on his left wrist and his left-hand was strapped on Friday.

Nadal was drawn to face, Kyrgios in one of his singles matches, but Dominic Thiem from Team Europe replaced Nadal. Due to Kyrgios’ withdrawal, the match-up between Nadal and Kyrgios has now shifted to Thiem vs. Fritz.

On Day Three, Team World won their doubles match against Team Europe. The American pair of John Isner and Jack Sock defeated Roger Federer and Stefanos Tsitsipas 5-7, 6-4, 10-8. With their victory, Team World is leading Team Europe by one point, as the present scoreline is set at 8-7.

On Saturday, Nick Kyrgios gave his team an important win by keeping their hopes for the Laver Cup title alive. He teamed up with Jack Sock and defeated Rafael Nadal and Stefanos Tsitsipas from Team Europe in the doubles match with was followed by an exhilarating tiebreaker in the end.

Kyrgios gave a tough fight to Roger Federer in the singles round. Federer had to take his tennis to the next level and after he dropped the opening set against the Australian.

The Swiss legend received coaching from Rafael Nadal in the midst of the second set and he believes that his advice was of great help. In addition to that, Federer played some unbelievable tennis in the tiebreaker and gave his team a victory on Saturday.
