The sports world came to a halt after the coronavirus wreaked havoc around the world. Consequently, the tennis community is keeping busy on social media and shifted its base to Instagram live TV. Subsequently, Nick Kyrgios put aside his long feud with Rafael Nadal and invited the Spaniard for an Instagram live.

There are many potential interactions that would make for a great live chat on social media. And Kyrgios and Nadal would certainly make for good IG Live TV.

“Rafael Nadal let’s do it” – Nick Kyrgios

“We’d love to see these FaceTimes happen for real,” BBC Sport tagged kyrgios and Nadal along with Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

Subsequently, the Australian star was also ready to have a live conversation with Nadal as he wrote: “Rafa lets do Instagram live together. I am down with it.”

Moreover, Nick also tagged Nadal on his Instagram story and wrote: “Rafael Nadal let’s do it.”

Nadal and Kyrgios have a frosty relationship right from the first time they crossed paths in 2014. Last year, the Spaniard criticized Kyrgios for ‘lacking respect for the public, for his rival and for himself’.

Consequently, Kyrgios called Nadal a ‘super salty loser’. “When he wins it’s fine, he will credit the opponent but as soon as I beat him he has no respect for me, my fans, or the game… and I’m like,” Kyrgios said.

Nadal’s ex-coach and uncle Toni Nadal also jumped onto the scene as he attacked Kyrgios for having a ‘lack of education.’ Kyrgios did not hold himself back. He retaliated: “Bro, I did 12 years at school you idiot – I’m very educated. I understand you’re upset that I beat your family.”

However, Kyrgios has now put away his grudges against Nadal and seeks to have a live interaction with him. Now the ball is in Nadal’s court and if he agrees we might see a rare collaboration of Kyrgios and Nadal on social media.
