With the Wrestlemania season in full swing and almost upon us, the former NFL punter Pat McAfee took a look at his last year’s Wrestlemania against the billionaire CEO of WWE, Mr. McMahon.
The former NFL punter, Pat McAfee, is a multi-dimensional man. He is not only an interesting commentator, and a podcast host, but also a great entertainer when in the ring. The former Indianapolis Colts place maker also turned to wrestling. He wrestled in three PPV matches and won them all. However, some fans thought that one of his matches last year was not up to the mark. Fans voted the Pat McAfee vs Vince McMahon match at WrestleMania 38 as ‘The Worst Match of the Year.’ The former NFL star was quick to notice this and shared what he felt about the match.

The match could have possibly been McMahon’s last one as The Genetic Jackhammer is 77 years of age. Despite that, The Boss only asks his athlete to do what he can. Therefore, in that spirit, McMahon challenged McAfee to an impromptu match after the sports analyst had defeated the young upstart, Austin Theory.

After their match kicked off, McMahon and McAfee went at it for a while. In the end, along with the help of Theory, the 77-year-old defeated McAfee. Even though the match is dubbed the ‘The Worst Match of the Year,’ it was a valiant effort from The Boss.
Pat McAfee reacted to the match becoming the worst one
After the match, WWE Hall of Famer ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin entered the ring. The Texas Rattlesnake made his comeback after 19 years at WrestleMania 38, day 1 against Kevin Owen. The fans were not expecting to see him again. But he returned to even the odds and face off against his former arch-nemesis, Mr. McMahon. Steve Austin, in his traditional manner, hit his former boss. Then Steve Austin invited Pat McAfee on the stage. “When I was invited back in the ring.. I thought I was gonna get to celebrate Stone Cold finally ending the run with Vince.. “The Common Beer Drinking Employee” has finally put the old “Power abusing Billionaire Boss” away..”

McAfee could not believe that he shared the ring with the greatest wrestlers of all time. In his opinion, he participated in a match that was the greatest of all time.
