When your favorite sports team is in action, friends and family are only allies if they join your support. Well, that is the same emotion that Dale Earnhardt Jr. sparked in the high-voltage NFL match. The NFL playoffs are well underway and Dale Jr. had picked his side a long time back, and after decades, he is reaping the benefits.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. is known to be the ultimate Washington Commanders fan and they just made the NFC Championship game after 33 years! The spotlight was on none other than Jayden Daniels, who turned up with an excellent display to put Washington through to face the Philadelphia Eagles in the next match. While Earnhardt Jr. had a gala time watching the match, Brad Keselowski might not be in the right mood, given his loyalties were with the losing Detroit Lions.

Let’s be honest, the Washington Commanders were not in their best form for years. This had been endured by fans who painstakingly stayed loyal to the team. One such ardent fan who had been on the Commanders’ side, no matter what, is Dale Earnhardt Jr. and he has supported the team quite publicly.

Just a few days back, Earnhardt Jr. also took to his official X account and put forth his support to the team. He said, “ I have been a Washington fan since 1982. It’s been a long run. Some good. Some bad. But it’s amazing to be nervous for a playoff game again. And my little girls or growing to love the team. They just might have a lot of fun over the next several years”. Before the team beat the Lions, they stamped their authority with a statement win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the wild card round to make their way to the divisional round.

Dale Earnhardt Jr., right after the Commanders won, couldn’t help but mention his dear friend Brad Keselowski, a Detroit Lions fan on X, writing, “Somebody check on @keselowski”.

Hailing from Michigan, Keselowski’s affinity to the Lions seems to be given. However, after watching those 2nd and 4th quarter displays, Keselowski would wish he had chosen another team. The Commanders, trailing 7-3 at the end of the first quarter, staged an incredible comeback in the second quarter with four consecutive touchdowns. Running back Brian Robinson Jr. led the charge with a rushing touchdown, while rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels connected for two scoring passes, finding wide receiver Terry McLaurin and tight end Zach Ertz in the end zone. The splendid run by the team made Dale Earnhardt Jr proud.
