The beginning of Masvidal’s call-out began with a fashion choice that Kaepernick made. The ex-quarterback was reportedly wearing a t-shirt with the graphic of Che Guevara, a figure in the Cuban Revolution. On the podcast, Masvidal spoke about how Guevara was known for crimes against humanity. He mentioned the kind of atrocities that Guevara committed and said, “This dude slaughtered f**king 1000’s of people, family of mine, friends of my family and just to take power. This guy was so fucked up that he had the wall removed from his own office when he could see the firing squad intimidating people.

Furthermore, Masvidal reiterated the bad taste it was to have such a figure printed on the t-shirt Kaepernick was wearing. He also voiced his immense disapproval of people who look up to people like Che Guevara. Again, he mentioned Kaepernick and said, “If you believe in them so much like any of these guys that advocate for socialism or communism go live over there, got just one year I dare you, bro, I f**king dare you, you wouldn’t make it one day over there Kaepernick or any of these f**ks.
